Okemo Mountain is only 25 minutes away and offers great skiing for all levels. Magic Mountain, a smaller locally-owned slope, is also nearby. And if you're looking for ski lessons, Bromley Mountain is about 40 minutes away and offers great programs for all levels. Other nearby ski areas include Killington, Stratton, Mt. Snow, and Mount Sunapee (NH), all of which are within an hour's drive. So whether you're a beginner or an experienced skier, the Brewster House is the perfect place to call home during your Vermont ski vacation.
There are many great hikes around the area. For a nice, flat stroll, we recommend Lowell Lake. For something more adventurous, you can meet up with the Appalachian Trail/Long Trail. And for getting up high with only a 2 mile kid-friendly hike, Mt. Ascutney State Park is perfect. Don't forget to climb the fire tower for an amazing view!
